Imagine:
The Holy Spirit
rushing like a teal tidal wave
roaring down the mountains;
thundering with the force of a thousand blue steel horses.
Never stopping, never losing stamina;
spreading with uncontrollable confidence,
fearing nothing and gaining speed.
Consuming everything in its dry and wounded path.
Imagine:
this force coming
straight—for—you.
Your skin crawls with holy fear and wonder
as it thunders
closer and closer.
And Closer.
High and deep and wide.
Deafening.
Imagine:
your heart banging in your chest
with a longing to be swallowed whole
for eternity.
Imagine:
Living Water crashing into your form
soaking your entire being;
every thought, every action!
Your deepest struggles
now lost in eternal wonder and awe;
In knowing you are fully known
and never fearing loss again.
